My approach

I specialise in a person-centred approach, weaving in aspects of other modalities. This means regarding you, the client, as the expert on yourself and allowing you to set the pace and direction of the work. I aim to create a non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable talking about yourself and are able to see that you have the ability to change.

Among the issues I have experience of working with are depression and mental health; alcoholism and other addictions; childhood issues; adoption; bereavement and loss; relationships; anger issues; self-confidence; anxiety, panic attacks self-esteem and motivation.

My practise is non-judgemental. Whichever issues you may bring I strive to see from your own viewpoint as I value you as a unique individual, offering you sensitivity and respect.

What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is a type of therapy used to treat emotional problems and mental health conditions. Psychotherapy can help you discuss feelings you have about yourself and other people, particularly family and those close to you.

How it works

One of the key objectives of psychotherapy is to help you gain a better understanding of the issues that are troubling you.

It can help you work out new ways of approaching situations that you find difficult, as well as suggesting new methods to help you cope.

Developing a trusting relationship with your psychotherapist is very important and will help you be able to talk about long-standing problems. However, this can take time.

Psychotherapy can be used along hypnotherapy or as a standalone therapeutic approach.

The consultation is provided free of charge because it is an opportunity to explain the issues in more detail, to explain the process of the therapy and discuss a treatment plan. It is important to meet any potential therapist to establish that you will feel ease and go on to make a successful therapeutic alliance.
